Habitat Exchange: Who We Are

With first hand experience of habitat enhancement work and a substantial understanding of planning process and legislation, Habitat Exchange have a holistic appreciation of BNG and its implementation from land owners, planners and developers perspective. Our skill set and practical knowledge enable us to efficiently deliver BNG projects.
Our understanding and experience extends to each and every step in the process, from site acquisition, BNG baseline assessment work, enhancement scheme design, development of Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans, registration on the BNG register, to Biodiversity Unit sales and long-term land management.

BNG Services We Offer

We offer a comprehensive range of services to landowners, providing support at every stage of the BNG journey:

1. Land Purchase Consultation: Assistance identifying and acquiring land presenting potential for habitat enhancement to generate Biodiversity Units.
2. Baseline Assessment: Co-ordination of ecological surveys to establishing a BNG baseline.
3. Scheme Design: Working with you to design your land / habitat bank to maximise environmental benefit and optimise production of Biodiversity Units.
4. Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan: Co-ordination to produce HMMP and other documentation required for registration of habitat bank on national BNG register.
5. Scheme Registration: Administration of registration process.
6. Unit Sales: Marketing of Biodiversity Units for sale via our online market place and 3rd party agents.

Helping delivery BNG projects from end to end, we offer a flexible service with fixed fee or percentage based fees structures and staged payment terms, subject to client requirements with commission based fees on Biodiversity Unit sales.
